Join Bec and Andrés for an immersive, full-day Confidently Visible Speaker’s Training

Hosted by marketing and PR industry leaders Bec Sands and Andrés Lopez-Varela, the Confidently Visible Speaker’s Training is an intimate, immersive learning experience where just 12 people will unlock their strengths as a speaker and presenter.

This workshop is all about making you feel as comfortable as possible with your own unique style of presentation. You’ll get to know your superpowers as a presenter and identify opportunities for growth as Bec and Andrés guide you through a range of hands-on activities to discover your unique Presentation Personality.

This workshop isn’t about learning the ‘five rules of presentation’ or the ‘proven formula to speaker success’, because those things aren’t real. Instead, the emphasis of this workshop is on helping you discover your best approach to preparing and delivering presentations that reflects your personal style and preferences as a professional communicator.

Bec and Andrés aren’t here to mould you into some robotic style of speaker that isn’t an authentic representation of who you are. But they will share specific advice for each person in the room based on their Presentation Personality, through individual feedback on your presentations and help you build a unique toolkit that works for you and your presenting needs.

WHO is THIS EXPERIENCE BEST SUITED FOR?

If you’re an emerging business leader, new manager, sales team member, founder, small business owner, thought leader, company spokesperson, journalist or content creator, the Confidently Visible Speaker’s Training is for you. You’ll learn how to:

  • develop ways of presenting your unique thought leadership style to grow your personal brand and business/career

  • position their executives/employees as strong brand ambassadors for your company or organisation

  • boost your profile beyond your existing network to reach new stakeholders and potential customers

  • endorse your company and its products or services in the most powerful way possible

What to expect on the day

An expertly-curated workshop agenda

Bec and Andrés have developed the agenda for this training experience based on their combined four decades of experience presenting on-stage, in boardrooms, at industry conferences, online and in the media. The workshop day is broken up into three inter-connected sections, each designed to give you the most essential information to help you become the best speaker you can be. Here’s what’s on the agenda:

A supportive and safe environment

The training is run in a small group for two important reasons: everyone gets plenty of personalised advice and there’s no big, intimidating audiences to practice in front of. Bec and Andrés understand this sort of training can be challenging and even a little scary, so that’s why the workshop is conducted in a closed room, they don’t record and play back your presentations on a big screen and you’ll have the chance to experiment with new techniques in a risk-free way. This is your safe space to learn and make mistakes, guided by two pros who’ve previously made all those mistakes themselves.

Plenty of hands-on activity and time for Q&A (and absolutely no death-by-powerpoint)

Sure, the workshop material is important and the presentation practice is a critical part of this training experience, but Bec and Andrés want you to have abundant opportunities to ask questions and explore specific topics related to speaking and presenting throughout the day. That’s why the day isn’t jam-packed with a million slides and theoretical concepts; the workshop is heavy on the practical, hands-on activities, with ample time to ask questions and discuss everything you’re learning in enough detail that you can put it into practice the very next day.
